WoW!!!

Okay *hands up*. I need to have a moment here. After over a month of planning and work, I've finally finished the card of all cards in the history of Lydz Card Studio.

This project started a while back when three friends of mine approached me with an idea. The three of them were invited to a wedding this weekend to a couple that had met in the World of Warcraft (WoW) game. They proposed doing a whole WoW themed card, and doing an illustration that could span across three cards. That way, each person would be able to give the couple an individual card to attach their own gift and message, yet collectively, the three would make up a whole image.

I'm into gaming, but WoW was new territory for me. After much searching on the net and help from my buddies, I decided on drawing out the cathedral that many WoW characters get married in the game, with the WoW characters of the bride and groom on the front, in appropriate WoW wedding attire.

I'll be the first to admit that this card was quite the challenge, and found it tough at times to get through certain parts. But i'm very satisfied with how it turned out and was able to realize the vision I had for it, and If I had the chance to go back in time and do it again, I would.

Congratulations to the couple, I hope you love the card as much as I loved making it!!

The card was drawn entirely by hand and colored with pencil crayons.

The three individual cards...

Black and Silver Wedding

Here is a card that was ordered for a wedding whose wedding colors were silver and black. Congratulations you two!

Martinis on a Yacht

Here is a card that was ordered for someone whose birthday theme was martinis on a yacht. Happy Birthday!

Pucca & Garu

Okay I love this card. If any of you saw the Pucca card I made a little while back, you could consider this the second edition. The person who received that Pucca card wanted to have me design a wedding anniversary card for her husband with the same characters, so here it is! Pucca and Garu were created using handcut layered paper. Happy Anniversary!

Costa Rica Wedding

This was ordered for a couple getting married in Costa Rica, the client wanted to have the card reflect that theme. :)
