So I'm pretty happy with the way this card turned out for my two friends who just got married yesterday. Why?
Well first of all, I'm just happy with how the card I made turned out overall. But secondly, I had made the card based on the verse from 1 Corinthians 13:13, only to find out on the day of the wedding that it was their "theme verse" for the wedding. Sweet. Anyways, congratulations you guys, I wish you all the best in your new life together!!

Latest Creations
So in the midst of the Christmas season and all the things going on during this time of year, I decided to de-stress by making some cards (which I haven't had a chance to do in a looong time, so it was nice).

6 Month Anniversary
I also recently finished a card order for a 6 month anniversary. The client wanted to have a bunch of icons and symbols that I'm assuming represented the stuff they did together (awww)!

Working on Stock Cards...
Staying true to my word, I've spent the last few days making some cards just because I missed doing it while on vacation. I decided to make some cards that weren't specifc to any occasion so that the cards could be personalized for any occasion if someone ever wished to purchase them. I have a bunch on stock already, however I decided to add more to the pile.
So, don't forget that I always have stock cards on hand for purchasing and for personalizing! It's a nice option if ever a card is needed last minute and there's not enough time for a full custom order.

Latest Updates
Hi all!
Sorry for the lack of updates but I recently returned from a month long trip overseas which was a blast. In that time I attended my cousin's wedding and had brought along a card I made for her. Here's a few more projects that I had completed right before I left for my trip that I never got a chance to post.
The wedding card I made for my cousin.
A wedding card order requested to be done in these colors.
A farewell card I made for someone at work.
A wedding card order whose wedding colors were the Oilers colors (I assume they're fans :D )
A wedding card order. The bride really likes pearls and the pearly look.

WoW!!!
Okay *hands up*. I need to have a moment here. After over a month of planning and work, I've finally finished the card of all cards in the history of Lydz Card Studio.
This project started a while back when three friends of mine approached me with an idea. The three of them were invited to a wedding this weekend to a couple that had met in the World of Warcraft (WoW) game. They proposed doing a whole WoW themed card, and doing an illustration that could span across three cards. That way, each person would be able to give the couple an individual card to attach their own gift and message, yet collectively, the three would make up a whole image.
I'm into gaming, but WoW was new territory for me. After much searching on the net and help from my buddies, I decided on drawing out the cathedral that many WoW characters get married in the game, with the WoW characters of the bride and groom on the front, in appropriate WoW wedding attire.
I'll be the first to admit that this card was quite the challenge, and found it tough at times to get through certain parts. But i'm very satisfied with how it turned out and was able to realize the vision I had for it, and If I had the chance to go back in time and do it again, I would.
Congratulations to the couple, I hope you love the card as much as I loved making it!!
The card was drawn entirely by hand and colored with pencil crayons.
The three individual cards...
...and the whole image together!

Pucca & Garu
Okay I love this card. If any of you saw the Pucca card I made a little while back, you could consider this the second edition. The person who received that Pucca card wanted to have me design a wedding anniversary card for her husband with the same characters, so here it is! Pucca and Garu were created using handcut layered paper. Happy Anniversary!

Volleyball Wedding Card
I had an order for a wedding card, and they wanted the wedding ring to have a volleyball instead of a rock, because the couple met while playing volleyball. Awww!
I love these oddball requests I get. Haha, get it? I said oddball, haha, because of the volleyba-
Never mind.

"Siblinghood of the Travelling Card"
Another birthday card that was ordered. It was interesting: I was told that this would be a "travelling birthday card" in which the card first gets sent to the sibling with the closest birthday, then that sibling sends it to the next sibling's birthday, and so forth. Kind of like "Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants"...but not.

Yay Weddings!!
I 've always loved the summer: the sun, the hot weather, the activity, it's awesome! And it's even more awesome because of all the weddings, which means lots of wedding card orders! I have so many on the go, and I'll post them as they get done, but here are a couple that were recently completed:
This was created for a couple that's having a 1920's theme/old school hollywood type wedding, and the request was for it to be as such. Their wedding colors are red, black, and grey. I had a lot of fun with this one :)
This one was ordered to be done in the couple's wedding colors of ivory and this green.
Congratulations to the couples!!

Happy Birthday Michelle!
I made her a cupcake themed card which matched nicely with the cupcake recipe book I gave her for her birthday, in honor of her new cupcake business. Happy Birthday!
I also played around with some of my materials and had a bit of fun...I don't care what anyone else says, as much as we diss the '80's, it was a pretty awesome time :)
...as well as completing a few other orders, like this wedding card.
