It's been a pretty busy summer and I've been busy with card orders too but I finally got a chance to post up some of the recent projects I've completed!

I have to elaborate on this one right above. It was ordered for a 1 year anniversary and she wanted me to incorporate the following things that were significant things for her and her boyfriend: Kung Fu Panda, Friday the 13th, The Keg Steakhouse, and the Edmonton Oil Kings, this was what I came up with! And what was even more exciting was that on their 1 year anniversary when she gave him this card, he proposed to her! Congratulations Linda! I'd like to think my card had something to do with the engagement :)

The drawing was done in pencil and pencil crayon.

Highland Market 2009!

So I'm going to be set up at the Highland Market again this year! It's a chance for local artisans and all sorts of talented individuals to gather and show what they're made of.

It's taking place Saturday May 30 from 10am-5pm. The market is held outdoors, on 65 Street and 112 Avenue. There'll be things to buy and eat, so definitely come by and check it out if you can, if not the very least, pop by for a little visit!

I've been working hard the last little bit, so I thought I'd post a very very small sample of cards you can expect to see this time around at the market.

Now that my Color Theory class has wrapped up, I'm finally getting to making some new cards for this year. Here's a sneak!

Ready for Sun!

I'm taking a color theory class and the next assignment I'm working on requires us to do a self expression of our color palette using multimedia. I decided to reflect my current fave colors through my card making, and I'm lovin' these colors right now cuz it totally reminds me of the sun, summer, and warm weather, which I'm so ready for!!

(This one's got a little "pocket" with the word "Celebrate" inside!)

Congratulations Joel and Isabel!

So I'm pretty happy with the way this card turned out for my two friends who just got married yesterday. Why?

Well first of all, I'm just happy with how the card I made turned out overall. But secondly, I had made the card based on the verse from 1 Corinthians 13:13, only to find out on the day of the wedding that it was their "theme verse" for the wedding. Sweet. Anyways, congratulations you guys, I wish you all the best in your new life together!!

I also recently finished a card order for a 6 month anniversary. The client wanted to have a bunch of icons and symbols that I'm assuming represented the stuff they did together (awww)!
